Club Universidad de Chile's Hampus Billström got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfred Norström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gustav Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hampus Billström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Norström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Universidad de Chile's zone, Jim Johansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Villiam Runeberg came out of the goal and Jim Johansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th minute Billy Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Villiam Runeberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
