When Birger Pettersson came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Armada United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birger Pettersson couldn't finish the play. Armada United's Kenny Qvarnström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Västlund in the 9th minute of play. Kenny Qvarnström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Caspersson in the 12th minute of play. When Stig Caspersson came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Larnise FC fans jumped to their feet. Kenny Qvarnström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Västlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Konrad Mellberg fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Armada United's protests and gave Konrad Mellberg a yellow card for diving instead. Jens-Åke Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Villiam Aleberg in the 30th minute of play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Armada United reached it. After a rather tough play, Larnise FC's Johannes Igelström got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes, Armada United's Kent Lindqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jens-Åke Nyman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Armada United reached it. Sten Västlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The corner led to Larnise FC's Stig Caspersson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Villiam Aleberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Armada United's Kenny Qvarnström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Caspersson in the 53rd minute of play. Kenny Qvarnström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig Caspersson went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 64th match minute, Larnise FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Västlund to maneuver through the defense. Larnise FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Caspersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenny Qvarnström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kenny Qvarnström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Västlund in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Caspersson in the 81st minute of play forced Armada United's goalkeeper Kenny Qvarnström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Larnise FC's Peter Kock got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Konrad Mellberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armada United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konrad Mellberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stig Caspersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Nykvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kenny Qvarnström. Armada United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Armada United's zone, Stig Caspersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenny Qvarnström came out of the goal and Stig Caspersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Sten Västlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenny Qvarnström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Caspersson in the 94th minute of the match. Sten Västlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Kenny Qvarnström made a huge save. The Armada United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Larnise FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
