Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boris Strömberg in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ingemar Holm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the game, Lukas Aronsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Conny Säfström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lukas Aronsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Säfström having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolf Blanck made a kick off. Conny Säfström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Bröms, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conny Säfström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Aronsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Blanck in the 66th minute of play forced Höstensfinaste's goalkeeper Ingemar Holm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens-Ove Kock during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute Rolf Blanck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Holm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boris Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vartofta BF's Conny Säfström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Bröms in the 96th minute of play. Vartofta BF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
