Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sjötofta's Olof Nordström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Lindell in the 3rd minute of play forced Sjötofta's goalkeeper Per-Åke Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olof Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Målare having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Olof Nordström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th match minute, Vedevåg BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greger Wikander to maneuver through the defense. John Ekström hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Sjötofta's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Joensson came free, but Per-Åke Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kjell Joensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Åke Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvin Nordström in the 37th minute of play. Olof Nordström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Erling Målare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kjell Joensson to strike the kick off in the second half. Alvin Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Jakobsson having to interfere. Per-Åke Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvin Nordström, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Alvin Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjell Joensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vedevåg BK's Lars Carlberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Per-Åke Jakobsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 70th minute, Alvin Nordström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vedevåg BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 74th minute Kjell Joensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Åke Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes, Sixten Göransson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sjötofta and the Vedevåg BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Sjötofta got a freekick which was hit by Sixten Göransson. After 80 played minutes, Vedevåg BK's Lars Carlberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Per-Åke Jakobsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vedevåg BK reached it. 81 minutes into the match, Vedevåg BK's Kjell Joensson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Åke Jakobsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kjell Joensson took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per-Åke Jakobsson. Per-Åke Jakobsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Ola Holm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Åke Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Joensson in the 93rd minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, Vedevåg BK's Alvin Nordström made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Åke Jakobsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vedevåg BK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
