Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pelle Wik started the match with the kick off. When Kent Elg came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Skärblacka IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Elg couldn't finish the play. When Kista's Holger Berg in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skärblacka IK's goalie prevented a goal. When Hannes Högberg fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kista's protests and gave Hannes Högberg a yellow card for diving instead. Kent Elg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Östlund having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Kista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Sjögren to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match, Pelle Wik tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Karl-Michael Östlund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sixten Abrahamsson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Kent Elg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skärblacka IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Elg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Michael Östlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Kista's Karl-Michael Östlund got control of the ball when Kent Elg tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Holger Berg in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Björkman saved Skärblacka IK from getting behind. Karl-Michael Östlund was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Pelle Wik capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pelle Wik really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Kent Elg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Östlund having to interfere. Holger Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Björkman having to interfere. Stig Sjögren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Holger Berg made a kick off. Karl-Michael Östlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Wik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Skärblacka IK's Ulf Wästerberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 59th match minute, Kista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gösta Tingberg to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Michael Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Wik in the 63rd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Kista's goal looked a bit too open when Pelle Wik came free, but Karl-Michael Östlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Pelle Wik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Michael Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 played minutes Skärblacka IK got a freekick which was hit by Folke Borre. Kent Elg struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Karl-Michael Östlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skärblacka IK. In the 82nd minute, Pelle Wik made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Michael Östlund. Kista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Pelle Wik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Östlund having to interfere. If Folke Borre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Skärblacka IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kista had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
