After having played for 5 minutes, Stig Sjögren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig Sjögren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Michael Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Österberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Karl-Michael Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Johan Dalkvist in the 12th minute of play. Johannes Österberg struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Karl-Michael Östlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angered. In the 18th minute, Gösta Tingberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Johannes Österberg came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Angered fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Österberg couldn't finish the play. If Karl-Johan Dalkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 24 minutes, Simon Wennerström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Wennerström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Johannes Österberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kista's Karl-Michael Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Österberg in the 27th minute of play. Karl-Michael Östlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Johan Dalkvist in the 31st minute of the match. Tor Klack made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Simon Wennerström sent off a good shot on target. If Simon Wennerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harald Christoffersson's late challenge caught a Kista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harald Christoffersson helped the player get up and apologised. Harald Christoffersson kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Tor Klack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Berg in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute Karl-Johan Dalkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Michael Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Johan Dalkvist made a kick off. Johannes Österberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kista's Holger Berg got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Tingberg in the 72nd minute of play forced Angered's goalkeeper Tor Klack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johannes Österberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Johannes Österberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Östlund having to interfere. Kista's Karl-Michael Östlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Kista from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute, Johannes Österberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Michael Östlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Simon Wennerström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harald Christoffersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Michael Östlund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harald Christoffersson ran back to his position shaking his head.
