Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andréas Gregersson in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmund Göransson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simon Enström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Helström in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Andréas Gregersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammarby IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andréas Gregersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Andréas Gregersson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edmund Göransson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hammarby IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! In the 28th minute, Kristoffer Sjöberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Kristoffer Sjöberg struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Simon Enström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fratton Boys. After 32 minutes, Kalle Ryberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammarby IF and the Fratton Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hammarby IF's Kalle Ryberg got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The long shot by Harry Rudkvist in the 33rd minute really tested Simon Enström's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Edmund Göransson made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Gottfrid Alén sent off a good shot on target. 53 minutes into the match, Fratton Boys's goalkeeper Edmund Göransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gottfrid Alén. Andréas Gregersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Edmund Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fratton Boys's Edmund Göransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andréas Gregersson in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Hammarby IF defense, Kristoffer Sjöberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Enström. The Hammarby IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Enström should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Alexander Henriksson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarby IF's zone, Kristoffer Sjöberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Enström came out of the goal and Kristoffer Sjöberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kalle Ryberg hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Kristoffer Sjöberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Enström. Hammarby IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristoffer Sjöberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Fratton Boys's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
