Hammar's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthias Koch was the one to do the kick off. Ingvar Arenstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ingvar Arenstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Hammar got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Arenstedt. Aron Arenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Åke Tidéksson having to interfere. Bo-Erik Lundkvist hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Aron Arenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Arenius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lukas Holmgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven-Åke Tidéksson having to make a save. Sven-Åke Tidéksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukas Holmgren in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute Aron Arenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Åke Tidéksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
