IFK Renskav's Håkan Sjöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Forsman in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Svanavattnet IK booed when IFK Renskav was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo-Erik Aleberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rune Ahlerot, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Harald Forsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Svanavattnet IK's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Stål came free, but Andy Olenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Emanuel Stål dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andy Olenberg, 1-0. In the 25thth minute of the game Per-Arne Sjöberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK Renskav's Håkan Sjöberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Håkan Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Arne Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A hard shot 32 in the game by Valdemar Stenqvist from a close distance when the talented Andy Olenberg managed to make a qualified save. Svanavattnet IK's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, IFK Renskav's Jens-Ove Hamnberg got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Svanavattnet IK's Harald Forsman in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye IFK Renskav's goalie prevented a goal. 43 minutes into the match, IFK Renskav's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Arne Sjöberg came free, but Håkan Sjöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Per-Arne Sjöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to IFK Renskav getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Arvid Clementsson hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per-Arne Sjöberg made a kick off. Svanavattnet IK's Leonardo Åkesson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Håkan Sjöberg but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt Nordin during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, IFK Renskav's Bengt Nordin got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Harald Forsman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Håkan Sjöberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Arne Sjöberg in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Håkan Sjöberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Harald Forsman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes IFK Renskav got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Åberg. After 84 played minutes Svanavattnet IK got a freekick which was hit by Michael Rosin. If Harald Forsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svanavattnet IK's Valter Blom got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The IFK Renskav support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
