The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Dyltabruk RK booed when IFK Renskav was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo-Erik Aleberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Renskav's zone, Kaj Björkdahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkan Sjöberg came out of the goal and Kaj Björkdahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bengt Rosendahl fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Renskav's protests and gave Bengt Rosendahl a yellow card for diving instead. Bo-Erik Aleberg charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bo-Erik Aleberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bo-Erik Aleberg hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, IFK Renskav's Bengt Nordin got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 28th minute Kaj Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Sjöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogumil Kolano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Bogumil Kolano in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Marcus Ingemarsson came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Dyltabruk RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Ingemarsson couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, IFK Renskav's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Björkdahl came free, but Håkan Sjöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiktor Emander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bogumil Kolano to strike the kick off in the second half. Håkan Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Björkdahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Kaj Björkdahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Sjöberg having to interfere. Wiktor Emander struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Håkan Sjöberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dyltabruk RK. In the 62nd of the match, Kaj Björkdahl tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Håkan Sjöberg got in the way and made a wonderful save. Håkan Sjöberg was a little too slow when Bogumil Kolano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogumil Kolano in the 69th minute of play forced IFK Renskav's goalkeeper Håkan Sjöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogumil Kolano might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håkan Sjöberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bogumil Kolano ran back to his position shaking his head. Jens Söderström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Stål went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Dyltabruk RK's Jens Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Hamnberg in the 81st minute of play. Bogumil Kolano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Bogumil Kolano notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of IFK Renskav's Håkan Sjöberg. Håkan Sjöberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dyltabruk RK's Kaj Björkdahl got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Felix Trulsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
