Kenny Ekman was a little too slow when Bengt-Rune Jelm got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. With a little luck, Legia Polonia's Kenny Ekman got control of the ball when Stig Majman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the AC MILAN defense, Ivan Kinnman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christopher Brun. The AC MILAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Brun should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt-Rune Jelm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
