Jönåker's Jörgen Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Algot Apelkvist in the 9th minute of play. Alf Giöck charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alf Giöck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alf Giöck hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Karl-Erik Emander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Åke Kvist struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jörgen Ek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åhus. Åhus's Alexander Bark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Björkman in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Åhus's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Björkman came free, but Alexander Bark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åhus's Algot Apelkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Algot Apelkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jörgen Ek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Börje Björkman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jönåker's supporters rose to their feet, but Börje Björkman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Bark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Karlstedt in the 40th minute of play forced Åhus's goalkeeper Alexander Bark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Jönåker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell-Arne Västberg to maneuver through the defense. Algot Apelkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörgen Ek having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Algot Apelkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Börje Björkman struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Jörgen Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elof Walmarsson in the 65th minute of the match. Rickard Karlstedt succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 67th playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Rickard Karlstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jönåker's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickard Karlstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
