After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Henning Hylander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fjärås BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Hylander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Åke Kellman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fjärås BF's Jens-Ola Örtendal got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Henning Hylander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henning Hylander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils-Åke Kellman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henning Hylander in the 37th minute of the match. Fjärås BF's Jens-Ola Örtendal got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd match minute, Fjärås BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Hylander to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes Fjärås BF got a freekick which was hit by Alf Kinnman. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Henning Hylander made the kick off in the second half. Nils-Åke Kellman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Hylander in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Hylander in the 53rd minute of play forced Royal Fixz FC's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Kellman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Royal Fixz FC's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Kellman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens-Ola Örtendal. After 57 played minutes Fjärås BF got a freekick which was hit by Sven Hedkvist. Nils-Erik Nordin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Evert Ekström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Per-Erik Ahlroht was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henning Hylander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nils-Åke Kellman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Royal Fixz FC's Joachim Berg got a free kick in the 75th minute. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Henning Hylander took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Nils-Åke Kellman to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Royal Fixz FC's zone, Henning Hylander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Åke Kellman came out of the goal and Henning Hylander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nils-Åke Kellman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henning Hylander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Royal Fixz FC's Nils-Erik Nordin got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Nils-Erik Nordin off the ground. A collision led to Royal Fixz FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Nils-Erik Nordin hit a great ball. Fjärås BF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
