Spectators: 7304 (Terracing: 5479, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jan Sundström started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Hallabro's zone, Tjorven Ericsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Åke Nyman came out of the goal and Tjorven Ericsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elliott Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Åke Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute Tjorven Ericsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Cañete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hallabro's Åke Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tjorven Ericsson in the 13th minute of play. Sjuntorp IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jens-Åke Nordkvist in the 16th minute. Tjorven Ericsson's late challenge caught a Hallabro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tjorven Ericsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Sjuntorp IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tjorven Ericsson to maneuver through the defense. Jens-Åke Nordkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Jönsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johnny Biörkquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Åke Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Åke Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliott Kellbom in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Gaspar Cañete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sjuntorp IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Cañete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Gaspar Cañete notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hallabro's Åke Nyman. Åke Nyman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Johnny Biörkquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sjuntorp IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnny Biörkquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Åke Nyman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaspar Cañete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Nyman having to interfere. Tjorven Ericsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Nyman having to make a save. When Gaspar Cañete came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Sjuntorp IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Cañete couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Gaspar Cañete left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sjuntorp IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaspar Cañete to make the kick off. When Christian Jönsson came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Sjuntorp IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Jönsson couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Cañete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Nyman having to interfere. Hallabro's Åke Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Cañete in the 60th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Åke Nyman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tjorven Ericsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Åke Nyman made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Sjuntorp IF's Tjorven Ericsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Åke Nyman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 74 minutes, Ola Hellbom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sjuntorp IF and the Hallabro players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sjuntorp IF getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ola Hellbom hit a great ball. When Hallabro's Jan Sundström in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sjuntorp IF's goalie prevented a goal. If Holger Falk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Hedberg hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Gaspar Cañete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Hallabro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christian Jönsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Johnny Biörkquist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Nyman having to make a save. Tjorven Ericsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Åke Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hallabro defense, Tjorven Ericsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Åke Nyman. The Hallabro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Åke Nyman should have stopped the shot. Tjorven Ericsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Nyman having to interfere. When the match was over Sjuntorp IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hallabro throughout the match.
