An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Brandt in the 19th minute of play forced Vattholma IFK's goalkeeper Sivert Hägert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Busarnas BB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Göran Botvidsson scored to the left of an out of position Henry Westerberg, making the score, 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Vattholma IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Bolin came free, but Sivert Hägert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Arne Kling's late challenge caught a Busarnas BB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Arne Kling helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Vattholma IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Kling to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Ulf Bolin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sven-Arne Kling was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. After 32 played minutes Vattholma IFK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Arne Kling. In the 34th minute Wiktor Göransson suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 34 minutes into the game, Harry Ekgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vattholma IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Busarnas BB the free kick. Busarnas BB's Robert Almstedt was substituted for Wiktor Göransson. A collision led to Vattholma IFK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Harry Ekgren hit a great ball. Ulf Bolin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josef Pettersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Hägert having to interfere. The supporters of Busarnas BB booed when Vattholma IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Botvidsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin Lundhberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sivert Hägert. Vattholma IFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 45 minutes in the game, Harry Ekgren fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Henry Westerberg having to interfere. Sivert Hägert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Bolin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harry Ekgren to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Kevin Björkqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Ulf Bolin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sivert Hägert. The goal made the score 1-1. Vattholma IFK's Göran Botvidsson got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Göran Botvidsson off the ground. A collision led to Vattholma IFK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Göran Botvidsson hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Ulf Bolin put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sivert Hägert. Sivert Hägert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Bolin, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Kevin Björkqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tage Gustavsson didn't quite understand what happened when in the 91 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Sivert Hägert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
