The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils-Erik Nordkvist got free with Hugo Ugla in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Rinkeby FC's goalkeeper Hugo Ugla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils-Erik Nordkvist. Rinkeby FC's Hugo Ugla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Rinkeby FC from getting a goal against them. In the 21stth minute of the game Tommy Söderström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Söderhamn's Michael Lövgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomas Dalberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Lövgren having to interfere. After 23 minutes, William Björling mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Söderhamn and the Rinkeby FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Rinkeby FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arvin Gallin to maneuver through the defense. Arvin Gallin hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Tomas Dalberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Söderhamn getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Börje Thorsberg hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Söderström in the 36th minute of play forced Söderhamn's goalkeeper Michael Lövgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tomas Dalberg came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Rinkeby FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Dalberg couldn't finish the play. If Tommy Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When William Björling was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. William Björling hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nils-Erik Nordkvist made the kick off in the second half. A hard, long distance shot from Nils-Erik Nordkvist flew over the goal. Tomas Dalberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael Lövgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Dalberg ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Rinkeby FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Arvin Gallin hit a great ball. Nils-Erik Nordkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Ugla having to interfere. Tomas Dalberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Michael Lövgren stood somewhat misplaced when Tomas Dalberg came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 75 minute. Tomas Dalberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Michael Lövgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Söderström came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Michael Lövgren could save by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Tomas Dalberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some careless play in the Söderhamn defense, Tommy Söderström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Lövgren. The Söderhamn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Lövgren should have stopped the shot. If Tommy Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Söderhamn's Nils-Erik Nordkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rinkeby FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
