When Bertil Gummeson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ödåkra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertil Gummeson couldn't finish the play. In the 30thth minute of the game Bertil Gummeson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kil's Bo Hedvall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jens-Ove Wennerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Hedvall having to interfere. Bertil Gummeson struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Bo Hedvall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ödåkra. A collision led to Kil getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Maximilian Billock hit a great ball. Bo Hedvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertil Gummeson in the 44th minute of the match. After 46 minutes Kil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Karl-Magnus Lindholm who took care of the corner kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christoffer Ekerot was the one to do the kick off. Jens-Ove Wennerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Tage Torsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Per Nyqvist was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. A collision led to Kil getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Per Nyqvist hit a great ball. Ödåkra's Karl-Axel Brodin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Wahlnäs in the 71st minute of play. If Ove Wahlnäs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Karl-Magnus Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ove Wahlnäs struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Karl-Axel Brodin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kil. Ove Wahlnäs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Karl-Axel Brodin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Kil supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ödåkra's performance. The match ended with a win for Ödåkra.
