The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Stål got free with Marc Blom in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wictor Browall in the 11th minute of play forced Sandviken's goalkeeper John Molin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Stål hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Wictor Browall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wictor Browall struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. John Molin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stolpskottens BK. Joar Helberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. John Molin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joachim Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Blom having to interfere. Bertil Back kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stolpskottens BK's goalkeeper Marc Blom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Marcus Stål had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Berg in the 36th minute of play. John Molin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wictor Browall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Joachim Berg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marc Blom. That made the score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. If Marcus Stål had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 49th minute, Stolpskottens BK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joachim Berg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joachim Berg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Molin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wictor Browall in the 54th minute of play. When Claes Möller fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stolpskottens BK's protests and gave Claes Möller a yellow card for diving instead. Marc Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Stål in the 56th minute of play. Stolpskottens BK's Wictor Browall got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Marcus Stål came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Sandviken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Stål couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Stolpskottens BK's Gösta Ersman got a free kick in the 73rd minute. When Lucas Alströmer fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stolpskottens BK's protests and gave Lucas Alströmer a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Stolpskottens BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sandviken:s goal. The referee gave Sandviken a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ove Abrahamsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stolpskottens BK's Marc Blom. 2-0. Joar Helberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
