An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Åberg in the 8th minute of play forced Beşiktaş JK's goalkeeper Tobias Kilstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Beşiktaş JK got a freekick which was hit by Georg Finnman. In the 11th match minute, Beşiktaş JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Oskar Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. After 13 played minutes, Backe BF's Bernt Vallgren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tobias Kilstedt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Backe BF reached it. With a little luck, Backe BF's Vilgot Olenberg got control of the ball when Östen Stabbe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Backe BF's Vilgot Olenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Backe BF from getting a goal against them. If Östen Stabbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Backe BF's Jakob Mårtensson got a free kick in the 20th minute. Östen Stabbe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Vilgot Olenberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Åberg in the 24th minute of play forced Beşiktaş JK's goalkeeper Tobias Kilstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Petter Dahlgren fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Backe BF's protests and gave Petter Dahlgren a yellow card for diving instead. Tobias Kilstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth Åberg in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute Jakob Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Kilstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jakob Mårtensson hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The supporters of Beşiktaş JK booed when Backe BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Dahlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Philip Ahlén from long distance, 40 minutes into the match, got Vilgot Olenberg's attention. Philip Ahlén went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Philip Ahlén almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Backe BF's Vilgot Olenberg did a great save. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Backe BF's goalkeeper Vilgot Olenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kenneth Åberg was the one to do the kick off. Tobias Kilstedt made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jakob Mårtensson sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute Kjell Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilgot Olenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62ndth minute of the game Östen Stabbe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Backe BF's Vilgot Olenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Backe BF's goal looked a bit too open when Östen Stabbe came free, but Vilgot Olenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Kjell Lindholm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Bernt Vallgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Backe BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beşiktaş JK the free kick. Backe BF:s Vilgot Olenberg showed great skill when he stopped Philip Ahlén:s penalty. Beşiktaş JK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Philip Ahlén in the 80th minute. Beşiktaş JK's Torbjörn Landin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vilgot Olenberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Östen Stabbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vilgot Olenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jakob Mårtensson during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kjell Lindholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilgot Olenberg having to interfere. Georg Finnman kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Beşiktaş JK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
