The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Viktor Qvarnström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Falck, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Mats Abrahamsson took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktor Qvarnström. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Ivan Falck put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Viktor Qvarnström. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Falck in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viktor Qvarnström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Mosh Pit's Charles Kristiansson got control of the ball when Ragnar Dalgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Norrlands Athen U23 booed when Mosh Pit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sune Kleen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ragnar Dalgren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Charles Kristiansson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mosh Pit's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joacim Pålsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Norrlands Athen U23's players had a chance to rest. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Alvin Bohlin got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-3. 34 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Norrlands Athen U23 defense, Jan-Olof Löv kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viktor Qvarnström. The Norrlands Athen U23 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viktor Qvarnström should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the game, Sune Kleen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Viktor Qvarnström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 45 minutes into the match, Mosh Pit's goalkeeper Charles Kristiansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ragnar Dalgren. A collision led to Norrlands Athen U23 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Kaj Pålsson hit a great ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Falck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Mosh Pit's Ivan Falck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joacim Pålsson in the 56th minute of play. Mosh Pit's Charles Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Dalgren in the 60th minute of play. Jan-Olof Löv hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Jan-Olof Löv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Qvarnström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktor Qvarnström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Olof Löv in the 67th minute of play. Mosh Pit's Charles Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joacim Pålsson in the 68th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Philip Forss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Olof Löv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Viktor Qvarnström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sune Kleen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Viktor Qvarnström made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, Ivan Falck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Viktor Qvarnström, 2-9. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 3-9 when Ragnar Dalgren sped through Mosh Pit's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charles Kristiansson. When Olle Giöck fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norrlands Athen U23's protests and gave Olle Giöck a yellow card for diving instead. Olle Giöck hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Mosh Pit's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
