Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Frans Mattsson got the match started through his kick off. Egon Fastesson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ludwig Vollander went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Västerås BK's Karl-Michael Strandberg got a free kick in the 10th minute. Per Finsberg hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Egon Fastesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Åkerberg in the 18th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Västerås BK's Kjell-Arne Grönberg threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Frans Mattsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 20th minute, Ulf Viberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georg Åkerberg took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egon Fastesson. Egon Fastesson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After some careless play in the Västerås BK defense, Ulf Viberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egon Fastesson. The Västerås BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egon Fastesson should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Ulf Viberg made a precise shot to the right of Egon Fastesson. Västerås BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Västerås BK's zone, Ludwig Vollander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egon Fastesson came out of the goal and Ludwig Vollander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jan Pååk came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Taormina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Pååk couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute Georg Åkerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egon Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Västerås BK's Frans Mattsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kjell-Arne Grönberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Egon Fastesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Vollander, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Egon Fastesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Pååk in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludwig Vollander to strike the kick off in the second half. Västerås BK's Egon Fastesson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Västerås BK from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Ralf Zachrisson in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Taormina FC's Evren Özdil. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludwig Vollander in the 65th minute of play forced Västerås BK's goalkeeper Egon Fastesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Västerås BK getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Herbert Fogel hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the game, Ludwig Vollander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Egon Fastesson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 77 minutes into the game, Maximilian Rosin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Taormina FC's Jan Pååk quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Frans Mattsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Kjell-Arne Grönberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Taormina FC got a freekick which was hit by Georg Åkerberg. Brian Fernström might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjell-Arne Grönberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brian Fernström ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Ulf Viberg made a precise shot to the right of Egon Fastesson. Västerås BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-8.
