An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Sävström in the 7th minute of play forced Påarp BF's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Hägert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Alf Ennegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Björkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Asserlind took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roy Björkman. Sundsvall U21's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dick Alebom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sundsvall U21's Vidar Törnkvist got a free kick in the 19th minute. Vidar Törnkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Sundsvall U21's goal looked a bit too open when Dick Alebom came free, but Roy Björkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes, Georg Lundblad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Påarp BF and the Sundsvall U21 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sundsvall U21 booed when Påarp BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Lundblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roy Björkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Ennegren in the 45th minute of the match. Kjell-Arne Backman kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Jörn Ahlstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Dick Alebom made the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Sävström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Ove Hägert having to interfere. Roy Björkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dick Alebom in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Jan Hägert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sundsvall U21's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Påarp BF the free kick. The supporters of Påarp BF booed when Sundsvall U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Hägert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sundsvall U21's Roy Björkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Alebom in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Sundsvall U21's goalkeeper Roy Björkman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alf Ennegren. In the 69th minute of the match, Georg Lundblad tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roy Björkman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Henry Kråk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven-Ove Hägert. Påarp BF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Påarp BF's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Sävström came free, but Sven-Ove Hägert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Sundsvall U21 were awarded a corner. Mikael Stenström went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Mikael Stenström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sven-Ove Hägert quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 75th minute Georg Lundblad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Björkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Ove Hägert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Stenström, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Mikael Stenström put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sven-Ove Hägert. In the 86th minute, Algot Axelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Dick Alebom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Björkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roy Björkman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alf Ennegren in the 97th minute. Sundsvall U21's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
