The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alf Gerdberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Hybbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Junsele booed when Hillared FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigvard Beneth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dag Wallgren kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Alf Gerdberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Hybbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Junsele's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastian Hybbert was slow to take the kick. During this time Hillared FK's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Hillared FK's Sebastian Hybbert to fire away a dangerous shot which Alf Gerdberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alexander Lekberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Robin Vennerlund made a huge save. In the 14th match minute, Hillared FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Vester to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Hybbert in the 22nd minute of play forced Junsele's goalkeeper Alf Gerdberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bo Telin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alf Gerdberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Lekberg struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Robin Vennerlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Junsele. If Sebastian Hybbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Lekberg in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robin Vennerlund, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 34 minutes into the match, Hillared FK's goalkeeper Robin Vennerlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Lekberg. Frank Söderkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alf Gerdberg having to make a save. Börje Biörkman hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Sebastian Hybbert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hillared FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Hybbert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alf Gerdberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Alf Gerdberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Hybbert in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Junsele getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Thor Jönsson hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Hillared FK's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Åke Nordstedt came free, but Robin Vennerlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Frank Söderkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hillared FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Söderkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Sebastian Hybbert notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Junsele's Alf Gerdberg. Alf Gerdberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Frank Söderkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Hybbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Junsele fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Junsele's Alexander Lekberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 95th minute Sven-Åke Nordstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Vennerlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Hillared FK's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hillared FK may have spent more time on the ball, but Junsele were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
