In the 4th minute, Per Siggman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th match minute, Åhus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arvin Björk to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alf Ennegren got free with Leonard Johnsson in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Påarp BF's Sven-Ove Hägert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Melin in the 15th minute of play. Åhus were furious when Mårten Dalström was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Åhus! Alf Ennegren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Leonard Johnsson made a huge save. 23 minutes into the game, Åhus's Per Siggman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven-Ove Hägert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 26th minute Sven-Edvin Melin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Ove Hägert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Åhus's Tomas Åberg got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Sven-Ove Hägert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Åke Elg in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Åhus's Arman Ferm got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Jonas Almstedt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonard Johnsson skillfully saved the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Åhus's goal looked a bit too open when Georg Lundblad came free, but Leonard Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Sven-Edvin Melin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven-Ove Hägert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Sven-Edvin Melin sped through Påarp BF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sven-Ove Hägert. The Påarp BF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Åhus were winning 0-3.

After a rather tough play, Påarp BF's Georg Lundblad got a free kick in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Melin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Ove Hägert. Påarp BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Edvin Melin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 68 played minutes Påarp BF got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Ryberg. Leonard Johnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dick Alebom in the 77th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Dick Alebom in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Åhus's Leonard Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Ennegren in the 80th minute of play. When Georg Lundblad was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. A collision led to Påarp BF getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Georg Lundblad hit a great ball. Alf Ennegren got in the 84th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Leonard Johnsson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 85th minute Alf Ennegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Siggman took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Ove Hägert. Sven-Ove Hägert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Sven-Edvin Melin might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven-Ove Hägert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Edvin Melin ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Sven-Edvin Melin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Påarp BF booed when Åhus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Morat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åhus's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
