But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Bruse couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Skottorp's Kim Fransson got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Skottorp got a freekick which was hit by Harry Danielsson. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Skottorp's goalkeeper Jonatan Uggla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 37 minutes, Patrik Termander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Axbergs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrik Termander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Torgny Lundqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Axbergs IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jonatan Uggla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Termander in the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Axbergs IF got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Termander. Torgny Lundqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torgny Lundqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The supporters of Skottorp booed when Axbergs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaf Myhr didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes Axbergs IF got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Termander. If Christoffer Pååk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torgny Lundqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonatan Uggla having to make a save. Gustaf Myhr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Uggla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Axbergs IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Torgny Lundqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Uggla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th match minute, Axbergs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Kråk to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Torgny Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Uggla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Termander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Uggla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Axbergs IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
