The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Limmared's Fredrik Caspersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Abrahamsson in the 4th minute of play. Fredrik Caspersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Högström in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Limmared's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Sundin came free, but Fredrik Caspersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danderyd's Tommy Sikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Erik Stålman in the 11th minute of play. Simon Abrahamsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fredrik Caspersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Birger Palmkvist during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Birger Palmkvist got his second yellow card in the match during the 17th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Danderyd booed when Limmared was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birger Palmkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredrik Caspersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Nyberg in the 20th minute of play. Limmared's Fredrik Caspersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Abrahamsson in the 21st minute of play. Martin Nyberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fredrik Caspersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Abrahamsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fredrik Caspersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Emanuel Sundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Caspersson having to interfere. Fredrik Caspersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Abrahamsson in the 35th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Michael Botvidsson during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Limmared getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Karl-Michael Botvidsson hit a great ball. In the 41st match minute, Danderyd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Fernström to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Abrahamsson to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Danderyd's Fredrik Caspersson threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Simon Abrahamsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 56th minute, Walter Högström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Högström kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Jan Jelm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Sikström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Limmared was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Palm to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Nyberg got free with Fredrik Caspersson in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 75 played minutes Limmared got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Eklund. Martin Nyberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Fredrik Caspersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Erik Stålman struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Tommy Sikström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limmared. Martin Nyberg hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Sven-Erik Stålman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limmared's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Danderyd the free kick. After 96 played minutes Limmared got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Stålman. Kristian Eklund charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristian Eklund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Many of Danderyd's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Danderyd may have spent more time on the ball, but Limmared were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
