Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mellösa's Harry Bergsten started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Jonsered's zone, Simon Björklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmie Haeger came out of the goal and Simon Björklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 minutes of play, Mellösa's Harry Bergsten made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmie Haeger was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 9th minute, one of Mellösa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mellösa. Harry Bergsten's late challenge caught a Jonsered's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Bergsten helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Jonsered booed when Mellösa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Bergsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Per Galle fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jonsered's protests and gave Per Galle a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Jonsered got a freekick which was hit by Per Galle. When Edvin Andberg fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellösa's protests and gave Edvin Andberg a yellow card for diving instead. 27 minutes into the match, Harry Bergsten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jimmie Haeger. Jonsered's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harry Bergsten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The referee gave Mellösa a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tobias Bergstedt, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jonsered's Jimmie Haeger. 1-3. The supporters of Mellösa booed when Jonsered was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Wästerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Simon Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Haeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
54 minutes into the match, Mellösa's goal looked a bit too open when Esbjörn Olofsson came free, but Ralf Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Bergsten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimmie Haeger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute Jens-Åke Blom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Åhlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmie Haeger was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Manfred Gregersson. Esbjörn Olofsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Christoffer Lind fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jonsered's protests and gave Christoffer Lind a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Jonsered got a freekick which was hit by Christoffer Lind. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jonsered's goalkeeper Jimmie Haeger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 66 minutes of play, Jonsered's Esbjörn Olofsson made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ralf Åhlberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harry Bergsten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Haeger having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Fred Lund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esbjörn Olofsson scored 3-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ralf Åhlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Jens-Åke Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonsered's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Åke Blom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Åhlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens-Åke Blom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jens-Åke Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ralf Åhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esbjörn Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Mellösa players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jonsered from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
