Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Esbjörn Olofsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Fredrik Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Dahlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esbjörn Olofsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Jimmie Haeger managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Sundsbruk's Gösta Rosendal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gösta Rosendal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Haeger having to interfere. Egon Nordin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Sundsbruk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Mikaelsson to maneuver through the defense. When Esbjörn Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Jonsered fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esbjörn Olofsson couldn't finish the play. If Gösta Rosendal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Olle Törnblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Dahlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Åke Blom in the 39th minute of the match. Sundsbruk's Jonathan Dahlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esbjörn Olofsson in the 47th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredrik Ek made a kick off. Jens-Åke Blom might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Dahlgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens-Åke Blom ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 52nd minute Esbjörn Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Dahlgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sundsbruk booed when Jonsered was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Lindsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimmie Haeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Mikaelsson in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sundsbruk's Rikard Petersson got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute Fredrik Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Haeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gösta Rosendal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Haeger having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gösta Rosendal in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimmie Haeger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olle Törnblom got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Jonsered's Olle Törnblom got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Jimmie Haeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Rosendal, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Jonsered's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
