The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joakim Nilsson during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Neuros och Psykos's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvin Säv was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 14 played minutes, Neuros och Psykos's Reine Vik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper August Hjortberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Neuros och Psykos reached it. The supporters of Linköping booed when Neuros och Psykos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reine Vik didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Neuros och Psykos's zone, Östen Ekblom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Linares came out of the goal and Östen Ekblom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christoffer Fridlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. August Hjortberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christoffer Fridlund took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hjortberg. August Hjortberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Neuros och Psykos's Victor Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Neuros och Psykos from getting a goal against them. August Hjortberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvin Säv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoffer Fridlund in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hjortberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Åke Tidén to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Linköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Nilsson to maneuver through the defense. August Hjortberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christoffer Fridlund in the 56th minute. Östen Ekblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Christoffer Fridlund in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of August Hjortberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. August Hjortberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christoffer Fridlund went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvin Säv in the 84th minute of play forced Linköping's goalkeeper August Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Christoffer Fridlund reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of August Hjortberg. The goal made the score 0-7. August Hjortberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvin Säv, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute, Linköping's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christoffer Fridlund fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Neuros och Psykos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
