The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Linus Lundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Mattsson having to interfere. Billy Broberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Freddie Mattsson made a huge save. Ragnar Rang charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ragnar Rang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Harry Gudmundsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarl Göransson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fritsla's Pål Bratt got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Borås Östra Grabbar getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Joel Falkrantz hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, Borås Östra Grabbar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Linberg to maneuver through the defense. Harry Gudmundsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henning Österberg hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Fritsla's Freddie Mattsson got control of the ball when Billy Broberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Borås Östra Grabbar's goalkeeper Jarl Göransson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Linus Lundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Mattsson having to interfere. Jarl Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Gudmundsson in the 46th minute of the match. The Borås Östra Grabbar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fritsla were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Linus Lundin was the one to do the kick off. Jarl Göransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry Gudmundsson in the 52nd minute. Jarl Göransson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pål Bratt's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Harry Gudmundsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jarl Göransson made a huge save. Pål Bratt took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarl Göransson. Jarl Göransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Johan Nordlander kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Harry Gudmundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fritsla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Gudmundsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarl Göransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry Gudmundsson in the 74th minute. Fritsla were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Borås Östra Grabbar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kristoffer Bålström took the corner. The corner ended in Hans Felin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Borås Östra Grabbar's Jarl Göransson did a great save. Freddie Mattsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Billy Broberg's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Borås Östra Grabbar's zone, Harry Gudmundsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarl Göransson came out of the goal and Harry Gudmundsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Falkrantz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Jarl Göransson was a little too slow when Pål Bratt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-3. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Pål Bratt sped through Borås Östra Grabbar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jarl Göransson.
