With a little luck, Vassmol's Rikard Stephansson got control of the ball when Billy Broberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Borås Östra Grabbar booed when Vassmol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ove Frisk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Rikard Stephansson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Rang in the 10th minute of play forced Borås Östra Grabbar's goalkeeper Jarl Göransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Brian Sigfridsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vassmol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borås Östra Grabbar the free kick. After 11 played minutes Vassmol got a freekick which was hit by Brian Sigfridsson. When Borås Östra Grabbar's Linus Lundin in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vassmol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arvid Rang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Johan Nordlander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarl Göransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvid Rang in the 27th minute of play. Billy Broberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Giliusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarl Göransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Rang, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Vassmol's Arvid Rang in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borås Östra Grabbar's goalie prevented a goal. 46 minutes into the match, Arvid Rang notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Borås Östra Grabbar's Jarl Göransson. Jarl Göransson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Linus Lundin made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Giliusson got free with Jarl Göransson in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Emanuel Giliusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the game, Måns Groth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rikard Stephansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 82 minutes of play Vassmol's Måns Groth was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Måns Groth hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Billy Broberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Linus Lundin struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Rikard Stephansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borås Östra Grabbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linus Lundin in the 91st minute of play forced Vassmol's goalkeeper Rikard Stephansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Vassmol's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Broberg came free, but Rikard Stephansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
