Dan Kilstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Termander, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Freddie Zachrisson's late challenge caught a Östra Ryd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Östra Ryd's Yiğit Can Altunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Persson in the 44th minute of play. Yiğit Can Altunay made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Tony Andersson sent off a good shot on target. In the 49th minute the ball was on its way in behind Östra Ryd's goalkeeper Yiğit Can Altunay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Östra Ryd were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lennart Persson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Östra Ryd's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Persson came free, but Yiğit Can Altunay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yiğit Can Altunay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Andersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Dick Östensson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 75th minute, Jan-Erik Åhlberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dan Kilstedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jan-Erik Åhlberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 75 minute of play. Ture Tolsson kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Yiğit Can Altunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Persson in the 85th minute of the match. Urban Häger charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urban Häger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Urban Häger hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Östra Ryd's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
