The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerry Kjellqvist during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jan-Åke Hamberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rasmus Bark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leif Strömberg made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Mark Levander sent off a good shot on target. When Stig-Ove Harlén fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gällivare's protests and gave Stig-Ove Harlén a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes, Atletico Florenzi FC's Valdemar Björling shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rasmus Bark came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mark Levander struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Leif Strömberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gällivare. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mats Nordin in the 69th managed to get into a good position. Leif Strömberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Lars-Erik Sundberg hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute Edward Abelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Strömberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
