With a little luck, Gällivare's Rasmus Bark got control of the ball when Valentin Groth tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kjell Widberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilhelm Ekeroth was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Linköping FC's Henric Arenius got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rasmus Bark. Kjell Widberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mark Levander might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilhelm Ekeroth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mark Levander ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Nordin in the 21st minute of play forced Linköping FC's goalkeeper Wilhelm Ekeroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linköping FC's Wilhelm Ekeroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Levander in the 25th minute of play. Valentin Groth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Rasmus Bark made a huge save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Levander couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Valentin Groth notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Gällivare's Rasmus Bark. Rasmus Bark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute, Hans Helberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 46 minutes, Kjell Widberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gällivare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Widberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mats Nordin to make the kick off. Wilhelm Ekeroth made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Mark Levander sent off a good shot on target. Linköping FC's Wilhelm Ekeroth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Linköping FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Linköping FC's Arvid Fagerberg got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvard Bergsten in the 61st minute of play forced Gällivare's goalkeeper Rasmus Bark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Edvard Bergsten notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Gällivare's Rasmus Bark. Rasmus Bark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Mark Levander took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Wilhelm Ekeroth to make any attempt to save it. Edward Abelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Hans Helberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filiph Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilhelm Ekeroth having to interfere. Robin Beneth kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Henric Arenius was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mats Nordin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Linköping FC's goalkeeper Wilhelm Ekeroth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Beneth. Wilhelm Ekeroth didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Gällivare's Mats Nordin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Edward Abelsson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mark Levander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilhelm Ekeroth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Edvard Bergsten notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Gällivare's Rasmus Bark. Rasmus Bark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, Linköping FC could leave the field as winners, despite Gällivare having more of the ball for most of the match.
