Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alkis Drinkwater ran back to his position shaking his head. 5 minutes into the game, Leonardo Blomkvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gio Winters. Leonardo Blomkvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Robert Kvarnström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theodor Arvesen went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vaxholm's Robert Kvarnström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Viberg in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Fk Rats's Alkis Drinkwater nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Kvarnström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Tommy Viberg put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Robert Kvarnström. When Fk Rats's Tommy Viberg in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vaxholm's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Magnus Gallin during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fk Rats's Jon Hellkvist was substituted for Lars Västerstrand. After 30 played minutes Vaxholm got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Gallin. After some careless play in the Vaxholm defense, Alkis Drinkwater kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Kvarnström. The Vaxholm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Kvarnström should have stopped the shot. Vaxholm's Robert Kvarnström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodor Arvesen in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommy Viberg in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Kvarnström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vaxholm's Robert Kvarnström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodor Arvesen in the 43rd minute of play. Gio Winters made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Joel Lundberg sent off a good shot on target. Robert Kvarnström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alkis Drinkwater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alkis Drinkwater recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommy Viberg to make the kick off. A hard shot 54 in the game by Tommy Viberg from a close distance when the talented Robert Kvarnström managed to make a qualified save. Vaxholm's players were relieved. If Tommy Viberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Vaxholm's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Viberg came free, but Robert Kvarnström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theodor Arvesen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Robert Kvarnström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Alkis Drinkwater ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Kvarnström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. Tommy Vibergs short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Robert Kvarnström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Magnus Gallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fk Rats's Tommy Viberg in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vaxholm's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vaxholm's goalkeeper Robert Kvarnström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roy Sjöö charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roy Sjöö the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vaxholm getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Roy Sjöö hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Theodor Arvesen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Alkis Drinkwater notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of Vaxholm's Robert Kvarnström. Robert Kvarnström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute Theodor Arvesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Kvarnström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Vaxholm fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fk Rats were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
