The referee gave Fk Rats a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alkis Drinkwater, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of BR Saints's Conny Giliusson. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodor Arvesen in the 24th minute of play forced BR Saints's goalkeeper Conny Giliusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conny Giliusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodor Arvesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernt Stigsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gio Winters came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernt Stigsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Alkis Drinkwater managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fk Rats's supporters rose to their feet, but Alkis Drinkwater was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conny Giliusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Theodor Arvesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alkis Drinkwater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Viberg in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conny Giliusson saved BR Saints from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernt Stigsson to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fk Rats's Lars Västerstrand got a free kick in the 51st minute. The audience cheered when Simon Wahlström's long shot passed Gio Winters's right side. It was 2-4, 52 minutes into the match. Conny Giliusson was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Theodor Arvesen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Theodor Arvesen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Vilhelm Hegg charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vilhelm Hegg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, BR Saints's Vilhelm Hegg got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alkis Drinkwater got free with Conny Giliusson in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. BR Saints's Conny Giliusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodor Arvesen in the 66th minute of play. If Theodor Arvesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to BR Saints getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Simon Wahlström hit a great ball. Fk Rats's Tommy Viberg was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Tommy Viberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fk Rats's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Viberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th match minute, BR Saints was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Stigsson to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, BR Saints's goalkeeper Conny Giliusson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alkis Drinkwater. The supporters of BR Saints booed when Fk Rats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Månsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Fk Rats's Theodor Arvesen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Conny Giliusson. Conny Giliusson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. BR Saints were furious when Pontus Mårtensson was red carded, 97 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Fk Rats played a much better game than BR Saints and deserved their victory. The BR Saints players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
