Michael Björkkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Asklund in the 3rd minute of play. Michael Björkkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Åke Sörman in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Åke Sörman in the 7th minute of play forced Österbybruk's goalkeeper Michael Björkkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Agnar af Syrien's Pål Björkkvist got control of the ball when Ingmar Hamnberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Pål Björkkvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 18 minutes into the match, Österbybruk's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Asklund came free, but Michael Björkkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Agnar af Syrien getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ola Alstedt hit a great ball. Tommy Häll hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Ingmar Hamnberg came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Österbybruk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingmar Hamnberg couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Österbybruk booed when Agnar af Syrien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilhelm Höijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Agnar af Syrien defense, Ove Willig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pål Björkkvist. The Agnar af Syrien fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pål Björkkvist should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommy Häll during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Österbybruk got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Häll. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. In the 51stth minute of the game Ove Willig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agnar af Syrien's Pål Björkkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ingmar Hamnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Sven-Åke Sörman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Jimmy Asklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agnar af Syrien's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimmy Asklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Björkkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agnar af Syrien's Jimmy Asklund got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ingmar Hamnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pål Björkkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingmar Hamnberg in the 70th minute of the match. Jimmy Asklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Agnar af Syrien's zone, Jakob Tidéksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pål Björkkvist came out of the goal and Jakob Tidéksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Ingmar Hamnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Björkkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Österbybruk's Ingmar Hamnberg in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pål Björkkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ove Willig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pål Björkkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After 90 minutes of play, Österbybruk's Ove Willig made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pål Björkkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Sven-Åke Sörman came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Agnar af Syrien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Åke Sörman couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Österbybruk fans cheered their team off the field, for while Agnar af Syrien had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
