Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ove Willig started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Lyckeby FF's Göran Nyman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michael Björkkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gert Nordström during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gert Nordström hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Ingmar Hamnberg made a precise shot to the right of Joseph Hedman. Lyckeby FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Orvar Högberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arvin Ahlfors in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Björkkvist saved Österbybruk from getting behind. Michael Björkkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvin Ahlfors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arvin Ahlfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gert Nordström in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Björkkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carl Samuelsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Joseph Hedman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Alf Bratt fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Österbybruk's protests and gave Alf Bratt a yellow card for diving instead. Alf Bratt kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Lyckeby FF's Arvin Ahlfors tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arvin Ahlfors struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Michael Björkkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyckeby FF. 44 minutes into the game, Ove Willig recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joseph Hedman. Ove Willig showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 47 played minutes Österbybruk got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Häll. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göran Nyman to make the kick off. Joseph Hedman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingmar Hamnberg in the 59th minute of the match. Lyckeby FF's Joseph Hedman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Willig in the 61st minute of play. Michael Björkkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Nyman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Österbybruk's Jan-Ove Ek got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Ove Willig notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Lyckeby FF's Joseph Hedman. Joseph Hedman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joseph Hedman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Willig in the 75th minute of play. Joseph Hedman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Willig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Ove Willig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joseph Hedman was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Ingmar Hamnberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joseph Hedman having to make a save.
