After some careless play in the Torparcanons IF defense, Ingmar Hamnberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Birger Olsson. The Torparcanons IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Birger Olsson should have stopped the shot. After 15 minutes, Ingmar Hamnberg made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Torparcanons IF's Birger Olsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingmar Hamnberg during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ingmar Hamnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Olov Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Torparcanons IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Willig came free, but Birger Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Österbybruk's goalkeeper Michael Björkkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olov Holmgren. Birger Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingmar Hamnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Ove Willig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birger Olsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Häll in the 83rd minute of play. Torparcanons IF's Birger Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Willig in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Österbybruk booed when Torparcanons IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Vall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th match minute, Österbybruk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Granqvist to maneuver through the defense. Michael Björkkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Österbybruk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Österbybruk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
