In the 4th minute Ingmar Hamnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Andberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvar Billberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Björkkvist having to interfere. Michael Björkkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olle Henriksson in the 8th minute of the match. Tommy Häll kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Wolverine Attack Squad's Ingvar Andberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Willig in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Ove Willig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Andberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalle Willig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Michael Björkkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Wolverine Attack Squad's Kalle Willig ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Michael Björkkvist. Michael Björkkvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Michael Björkkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olle Henriksson in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 minutes, Ingmar Hamnberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Österbybruk and the Wolverine Attack Squad players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Österbybruk's Ingmar Hamnberg got a free kick in the 35th minute. Ove Willig scored 1-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingvar Andberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ingvar Andberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingmar Hamnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wolverine Attack Squad's zone, Carl Samuelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingvar Andberg came out of the goal and Carl Samuelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wolverine Attack Squad's Ingvar Andberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Willig in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wolverine Attack Squad's Ove Engström got a free kick in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ove Willig to make the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ingvar Andberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvar Billberg hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Tommy Häll left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Österbybruk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Ingmar Hamnberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Ingvar Andberg made a huge save. When Olle Henriksson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Michael Björkkvist was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With his leg Ingvar Andberg managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Österbybruk's Carl Samuelsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 77th minute, Ove Willig fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carl Samuelsson got free with Ingvar Andberg in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Häll in the 83rd minute of play forced Wolverine Attack Squad's goalkeeper Ingvar Andberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingmar Hamnberg got free with Ingvar Andberg in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ingvar Andberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Willig, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Kalle Willig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Olle Henriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Ove Willig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Österbybruk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Kalle Willig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Björkkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Österbybruk eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
