With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexander Svanström in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Bergman saved Södertälje from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Södertälje's goalkeeper Marcus Bergman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Kjellbom. A collision led to Södertälje getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nils-Åke Rolfsson hit a great ball. Kåre Målare took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcus Bergman. Södertälje's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. But to his dismay, Eddie Kjellbom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Marcus Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Sandström in the 44th minute of the match. Carl Walmarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Stephansson having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viktor Sandström made a kick off.
