After having played for 12 minutes, Robert Cupial managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selånger SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Cupial was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Selånger SK booed when Öje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Emil Dahlbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Herkko Alenius came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Selånger SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herkko Alenius couldn't finish the play. When Alexander Svanström fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Öje's protests and gave Alexander Svanström a yellow card for diving instead. Viktor Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eddie Kjellbom took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred Gunnarsson. Fred Gunnarsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Eddie Kjellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viktor Sandström was the one to do the kick off. Fred Gunnarsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Sandström's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Fred Gunnarsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Viktor Sandström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 56 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Sandström in the 60th minute of play forced Selånger SK's goalkeeper Fred Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Selånger SK's Fred Gunnarsson got control of the ball when Eddie Kjellbom tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viktor Sandström during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 minutes, Nils Alebeck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Selånger SK and the Öje players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nils Alebeck kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Eddie Kjellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Öje's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Kjellbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot by Kåre Målare from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Fred Gunnarsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The crowd rose to their feet as Viktor Sandström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fred Gunnarsson. That made the score 3-3 in the 82 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Herkko Alenius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik Stephansson was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
