Bengt Löfkvist was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Michael Godholm in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Inge Falkrantz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Per-Erik Samuelsson's late challenge caught a Doloures Price's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per-Erik Samuelsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Holken's Per-Erik Samuelsson got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Doloures Price's John Blomqvist was substituted for Jonny Frisk. The wind increased when Michael Godholm made the kick off in the second half. Joachim Björklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Inge Falkrantz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tage Mortensen made a great header on Doloures Price's corner, it was just that Holken's Inge Falkrantz managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 65th minute Michael Godholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Falkrantz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Åke Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Lundin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. Doloures Price's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
