Viktor Elg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Nyman, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Upper East Side's Viktor Elg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Nyman in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Stefan Nyman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Viktor Elg. Upper East Side's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Nyman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Upper East Side's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Björklund came free, but Viktor Elg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Upper East Side's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Karl-Erik Lindberg was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Riverhouse's players had a chance to rest. Kjell Björklund was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Viktor Elg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Jakobsson in the 28th minute of the match. Viktor Elg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kjell Björklund went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to FC Riverhouse getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Torbjörn Soned hit a great ball. After 42 minutes, Alf Öberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Upper East Side and the FC Riverhouse players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alf Öberg kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Riverhouse booed when Upper East Side was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Myr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viktor Elg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Nyman in the 46th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Upper East Side's zone, Stefan Nyman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Elg came out of the goal and Stefan Nyman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustav Alkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Östen Dalberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Blomqvist in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute, Stefan Nyman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stefan Nyman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute of the match, Stefan Nyman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Viktor Elg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gunnar Jakobsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Stefan Nyman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Upper East Side's zone, Kjell Björklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Elg came out of the goal and Kjell Björklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viktor Elg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell Björklund in the 93rd minute. Kjell Björklund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Viktor Elg made a huge save. The Upper East Side fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Riverhouse were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
