In the 10th minute of the match Dennis Sjödin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viktor Elg skillfully saved the ball. Per-Åke Sandström might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Viktor Elg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per-Åke Sandström ran back to his position shaking his head. Viktor Elg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Lidström, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute Egil Granqvist suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 39th match minute, Upper East Side was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Myr to maneuver through the defense. Per-Åke Sandström struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Viktor Elg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holken. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Håkan Blomqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Upper East Side's supporters rose to their feet, but Håkan Blomqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inge Falkrantz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Per-Åke Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per-Åke Sandström made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Upper East Side's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Per-Åke Sandström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Per-Åke Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Elg having to interfere. With a little luck, Upper East Side's Viktor Elg got control of the ball when Emanuel Lidström tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Per-Åke Sandström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holken's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Åke Sandström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Elg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Lidström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viktor Elg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Per-Åke Sandström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Rutger Söderberg came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Holken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rutger Söderberg couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Per-Åke Sandström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alf Öberg took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inge Falkrantz. Inge Falkrantz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 93 minutes into the game, Sven-Erik Göransson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Upper East Side's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holken the free kick. A collision led to Upper East Side getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Sven-Erik Göransson hit a great ball. The supporters of Holken booed when Upper East Side was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Myr didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th match minute Dennis Sjödin ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Viktor Elg. 1-3.
