Spectators: 7450 (Terracing: 5589, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jens-Erik Kjellberg kicked off to start the match. When Jens-Åke Fredriksson fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karesuando RK's protests and gave Jens-Åke Fredriksson a yellow card for diving instead. 13 minutes into the match, Esbjörn Vik notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Carolus Rex's Morgan Gulliksson. Morgan Gulliksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karesuando RK's Olof Olsson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Samuel Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Carolus Rex booed when Karesuando RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esbjörn Vik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Georg Lööf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Allbom having to interfere. If Samuel Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Esbjörn Vik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morgan Gulliksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carolus Rex's Morgan Gulliksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Martinsson in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Martinsson in the 33rd minute of play forced Carolus Rex's goalkeeper Morgan Gulliksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Esbjörn Vik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karesuando RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carolus Rex the free kick. After 34 played minutes Karesuando RK got a freekick which was hit by Esbjörn Vik. Sten Bogren was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carolus Rex fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! In the 43rdth minute of the game Esbjörn Vik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carolus Rex's Morgan Gulliksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esbjörn Vik to make the kick off. Morgan Gulliksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esbjörn Vik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karesuando RK's Per Ivarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esbjörn Vik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Ivarsson got free with Morgan Gulliksson in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esbjörn Vik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Morgan Gulliksson came out and tried to block the shot, but Esbjörn Vik slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 68th minute. Samuel Martinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Morgan Gulliksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Per Ivarsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Morgan Gulliksson having to make a save. Morgan Gulliksson was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Esbjörn Vik capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Esbjörn Vik really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Carolus Rex's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Olof Olsson scored to the left of an out of position Morgan Gulliksson, making the score, 1-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Esbjörn Vik kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Morgan Gulliksson. That made the score 1-6 in the 85 minute of play. Morgan Gulliksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Martinsson in the 93rd minute of play. Morgan Gulliksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esbjörn Vik in the 94th minute of the match. Esbjörn Vik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morgan Gulliksson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Carolus Rex's Carl Fransson got a free kick in the 97th minute. After some careless play in the Carolus Rex defense, Samuel Martinsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Morgan Gulliksson. The Carolus Rex fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Morgan Gulliksson should have stopped the shot. Karesuando RK played a much better game than Carolus Rex and deserved their victory. The Carolus Rex players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
