The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ingvar Brolin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 5th playminute. In the 8th match minute, Dannike IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lon Charri to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th match minute, Dannike IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greger Björk to maneuver through the defense. If Alf Hjelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to BK Bröt getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Wictor Asplund hit a great ball. Ingvar Brolin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Viggo Benet came out and tried to block the shot, but Ingvar Brolin slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Sixten Lööf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alf Hjelm's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. BK Bröt's Alf Hjelm got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, BK Bröt's Viggo Benet got control of the ball when Pontus Linqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfons Landin to make the kick off. Dannike IK's Sven-Arne Ahlerot got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sixten Lööf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alf Hjelm in the 56th minute. Lon Charri charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lon Charri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Dannike IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lon Charri to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of BK Bröt booed when Dannike IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lon Charri didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Uggstedt in the 65th minute of play forced BK Bröt's goalkeeper Viggo Benet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Christer Beckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Dannike IK's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Linberg came free, but Sixten Lööf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, BK Bröt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Linberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Nils-Åke Beneth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alf Hjelm fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK Bröt's protests and gave Alf Hjelm a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes BK Bröt got a freekick which was hit by Alf Hjelm. 83 minutes into the match, Dannike IK's goalkeeper Sixten Lööf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alf Hjelm. Wictor Asplund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Dannike IK's goalkeeper Sixten Lööf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alf Hjelm. In the 96th minute, Håkan Uggstedt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viggo Benet was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the BK Bröt players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dannike IK.
