The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Dannike IK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Arne Ahlerot. Egon Lindqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Dannike IK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alfons Landin hit a great ball. Erling Bergfelt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Dannike IK's Milan Mazáč seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Milan Mazáč the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dannike IK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Milan Mazáč had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Dannike IK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Habo:s goal. Allan Abelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sixten Lööf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erland Hedlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

If Erling Bergfelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erland Hedlund received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sixten Lööf came out and tried to block the shot, but Erland Hedlund slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 57th minute. Erland Hedlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixten Lööf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. When Ingvar Brolin came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Dannike IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingvar Brolin couldn't finish the play. In the 67th match minute, Habo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Abelsson to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Håkan Uggstedt sped through Habo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egon Lindqvist. With a little luck, Dannike IK's Sixten Lööf got control of the ball when Erland Hedlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Dannike IK's Håkan Uggstedt made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egon Lindqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dannike IK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Habo for a fine match.
