Zebastian Österlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kenya Kickers's Henry Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Kleen in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Birger Kleen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Tunberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nils Liedholm IF's Jörgen Bjurström in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kenya Kickers's goalie prevented a goal. 9 minutes into the game, Nils Liedholm IF's Jörgen Bjurström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Tunberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Nils Liedholm IF booed when Kenya Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiktor Svensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Liedholm IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zebastian Österlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Birger Kleen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Tunberg having to interfere. Birger Kleen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Bjurström in the 29th minute of play forced Kenya Kickers's goalkeeper Henry Tunberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörgen Bjurström in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henry Tunberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henry Tunberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger Kleen in the 38th minute of the match. Birger Kleen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Östen Olsson charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Östen Olsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kenya Kickers booed when Nils Liedholm IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Östen Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Nils Liedholm IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig Erserman made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Nils Liedholm IF's Kalle Norström dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Henry Tunberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jörgen Bjurström's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Harry Wennerquist notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Kenya Kickers's Henry Tunberg. Henry Tunberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th minute, Birger Kleen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 minutes of play, Nils Liedholm IF's Jörgen Bjurström made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Tunberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Birger Kleen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Henry Tunberg made a huge save. After 84 played minutes Nils Liedholm IF got a freekick which was hit by Zebastian Österlund. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Jörgen Bjurström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kalle Norström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Kenya Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Gösta Sjö. Nils Liedholm IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
