The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Ingvar Brolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th match minute, Glada Gänget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Öberg to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Dannike IK's Kalle Joelson threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfons Landin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kalle Joelson made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ingvar Brolin sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 14 minutes, Jonas Öberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glada Gänget's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Öberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 minutes, Pontus Linqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dannike IK and the Glada Gänget players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Dannike IK getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Pontus Linqvist hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Ingvar Brolin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Joelson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Alfons Landin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nils-Åke Beneth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Joelson having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfons Landin to strike the kick off in the second half. Dannike IK were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Glada Gänget's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ingvar Brolin took the corner. The supporters of Glada Gänget booed when Dannike IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greger Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dannike IK made a substitution. Håkan Uggstedt replaced Ingvar Brolin. If Alfons Landin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glada Gänget's Kalle Joelson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Landin in the 82nd minute of play. Håkan Uggstedt hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Lon Charri missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 85 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Kalle Joelson right hand side. Glada Gänget's Kalle Joelson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Uggstedt in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Håkan Uggstedt in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kalle Joelson saved Glada Gänget from getting behind. Kalle Joelson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfons Landin went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Håkan Uggstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Kalle Joelson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
